Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for Loughborough Town Centre
Anti-social behaviour harms the economic and cultural vibrancy of towns and is a constant drain on limited resources.
As part of our work to reduce antisocial behaviour and alcohol misuse in Loughborough we have a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) covering the town centre. PSPOs must be reviewed every three years with the existing town centre order expiring in October 2026.
As part of our review, we want to hear the views of residents and businesses. An online consultation will take place until Sunday 19th July 2026 for people who live or work in Loughborough to have their say.
Take part in the consultation via www.charnwood.gov.uk/currentconsultations

Hard copies are also available on request by emailing community.safety@charnwood.gov.uk.
Consultation responses will be reviewed before a report is taken back to the Council’s Cabinet to either request an extension, variation, or ending the PSPO. If approved, an extended PSPO would be introduced in October 2026 to run until October 2029.
